Farrell Contracts were contracted  by Adman Civil Projects Ltd to undertake upgrade works within the existing NIE main sub stn at Tandragee.

The works were undertaken within a live sub station at 110kv and required all operatives to undergo NIE training for access and works within live sub substations.

The works included the following elements:

• Construction of new RC equipment bases and plinths
• Demolition and removal of redundant RC bases
• Drainage and ducting works
• Kerbing and road realignment works
• Cable trough installation
• General site works
• Alteration to existing fences

Works took place from Sept 2017 to Feb 2018 and involved both Priced BoQ’s works along with varied works to suit NIE on site requirements and infrastructure.
